Overview

Reducing friction in the QA bug-reporting workflow.

TestBuddy was an internal QA tooling platform designed to reduce friction in the bug-reporting workflow. It brought together gameplay footage recording, streamlined bug creation, Jira integration, AWS-backed services, tester workflows, and automation-focused tooling.

Challenge

Bug reporting can be slow, fragmented, and repetitive.

QA testers often need to capture footage, reproduce issues, gather context, write reports, check for similar existing bugs, and push information into project management systems. The goal of TestBuddy was to make that workflow faster, more consistent, and easier to use.

Solution

A single platform for core QA workflows.

TestBuddy centralized key QA workflows into one platform. It supported video capture, one-button bug creation, project integrations, cloud-backed data, authentication, storage, and tools designed around real tester workflows.

My Role

Development, architecture, integrations, and workflow design.

Danny Bouchard contributed heavily to the development and architecture of TestBuddy, writing a major portion of the codebase and helping shape the system into a production-ready internal platform.

Responsibilities included software development, system architecture, AWS integration, feature implementation, UI/workflow development, and supporting the platform as it moved toward broader testing and adoption.
